Coil Spacers

CT1424 Coil Transition

Lower static pressure, longer equipment life.

Coil transition / coil spacer mounted on a furnace

The Coil Transition provides a clean transition between furnace and coil to improve airflow efficiency and reduce system stress. A single spring design reduces static pressure by 0.09″ and adapts to multiple configurations — square, rectangle, and offset — so one part covers many jobs.

Features

  • Reduces static pressure by 0.09″
  • Single design fits multiple configurations
  • Improves furnace longevity
  • Easier maintenance, fewer warranty issues

Watch the CT1424 installed between the furnace and coil, showing how the transition raises the evaporator coil and creates a cleaner airflow path.

What it is

What Is the CT1424?

The CT1424 is an adjustable sheet metal transition that installs between the furnace and evaporator coil. It raises the coil above the furnace to create a smoother airflow path and reduce restriction at the base of the system.

Why it matters

Fix the Airflow Choke Point

When the coil sits directly on the furnace, airflow is forced through a tight opening. The CT1424 gives the air room to move before it enters the coil.

With CT1424

The raised coil gives air room to transition smoothly before entering the coil.

Active size: 14" Furnace → 17" Coil. The straight-up panel keeps both transition sides vertical. The one-sided taper opens only to the left, while the right side remains flat, vertical, and aligned throughout the continuous animation.

Before and After CT1424

This comparison section reinforces the core product story visually and helps contractors understand the install benefit quickly.

Without CT1424
  • Coil sits directly on furnace
  • Tight airflow opening
  • More turbulence at the base
  • Harder inspection and cleaning
With CT1424
  • Coil is raised above furnace
  • More room for airflow transition
  • Cleaner path into the coil
  • Easier service access later
